What we do
Iambik makes audio of books we love.
Iambik is a bit different from traditional audiobook publishers, though. We partner with print publishers and authors, and work with a collective of skilled independent audiobook makers around the world. We record new books and old ones, great books that have been overlooked by traditional audio publishers.
We work almost exclusively on a revenue-share basis, with narrators, publishers/authors, and iambik all sharing in successful audiobooks.
Our prices are low. We don’t have any digital rights management (DRM).

Who we are
Iambik is a loose network of people who like books, making audiobooks, and the internet (maybe you’d like to join us?).
Even though we are a little start-up, we have decided to give ourselves important sounding titles:
Hugh McGuire is Publisher, and la grande fromage, as they say in his native Quebec. Hugh is the founder of LibriVox.org and co-founder of Book Oven, Bite-Size Edits, earideas, and BookCampToronto and has done a few other webby things. (Twitter/Blog).
Janina Szkut is the Worldwide Director of Technology and Development. She likes Python and used to typeset her university math homework in LaTex. (Twitter).
JC Guan is Global Director of Operations and Production. She’s got a law degree, and once tamed the LirbiVox wiki. (Twitter).
Andy MacDonald is International Beautification Deliverer. He’s got the fixie and tattoos to prove it. (Twitter).
Gesine Kernchen is Director of European Business Development and Publisher Relations. She lives on a tiny, secretive island in the Mediterranean.
Christine Prefontaine is our Worldwide Cover Art Director. When not working on iambik cover art, Christine helps non-profits and universities figure out web tools, and runs a wonderful an open publishing experiement, Artefatica. (Blog/Twitter).
Julie Wilson is Publicity Instigator, and used to follow around people who were reading in public places, guess what passage they were reading, and post the sections to the Internet. She never got arrested. (Twitter/Blog).
